Active and Upcoming Road Projects - Summer 2025
Multiple roadway projects are underway in and around South Jordan this month and beyond. From sewer improvements to resurfacing and lane closures, drivers should plan ahead, expect delays, and drive cautiously. Read more to learn what you need to know to navigate construction season.

Bangerter Highway Closure – May 30 to June 2
- Southbound and eastbound lanes will be closed between 12600 South and 2700 West.
- No through traffic on 2700 West at the intersection.
- Use the detour via 12600 South and Redwood Road.
13400 South (West of Bangerter)
Eastbound lanes and the southbound Bangerter on-ramp are planned for reopening on May 13 as Phase One wraps up.
Sinkhole Repairs
Due to a sinkhole, UDOT closed the westbound right lane on 10600 South between I-15 and 700 West from May 12 to 15.
11800 South Sewer Project (Now through Fall 2025)
- Lane shifts and flagging between 3085 W and 4805 W throughout May.
- Temporary closures on Park Haven Lane and Mineral Way are expected mid to late May.
- New sewer work begins near Early Light Academy by late May.
- The final phase near Herriman High starts after school lets out in mid-June.

1300 West Gas Line Project
- Ongoing construction with a bore under 11400 South for the next few months.
- Long-term traffic control remains in place.
Upcoming Projects
Riverfront Parkway Widening– Begins Mid-June
- It is located between Jordan River Drive and 11400 South.
- The project will continue through the construction season.
Road Resurfacing – July to September
- 9800 S (1300 W to Jordan Gateway)
- 3200 W (10400 S to 11400 S)
- Daybreak Parkway (Oquirrh Lake Road to Mountain View Corridor)
- South Jordan Parkway (Kestrel Road to Grandville)
1000 West Roadway Improvements
Construction is ongoing and expected to finish in June.
Sidewalk Repairs
Crews will soon begin fixing sidewalk displacements at:
- 9800 S and around 1250 W
- 3200 W and 11400 S
- 4000 W and Shady Plum
- 3200 W and 10000 S
U-111 Realignment Project
UDOT anticipates construction starting this fall, though the timeline may shift.
