South Jordan, Utah — December 27, 2025

At approximately 1:47 a.m. on December 27, 2025, South Jordan Police officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 11500 South Copperstone Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers performed life-saving measures, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s family has been notified.

One person is in custody related to this incident and been successfully booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Homicide charges. Detectives have identified a second suspect related to this investigation and are actively following leads to locate the male.

This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
