Fatal Accident at 11400 South Temple Drive

SOUTH JORDAN, UT - On Wednesday evening, July 9, 2025, at 7:27 PM, South Jordan Police responded to a crash involving two motorcycles and a passenger car at the intersection of 11400 South and Temple Drive.

Two motorcycles were seen traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on 11400 South. As a passenger car turned left onto Temple Drive, one motorcycle collided with its side. The 18-year-old rider was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The second motorcyclist laid his bike down in an attempt to avoid the collision. He sustained minor injuries and is cooperating with police.

The driver of the passenger car was not injured and is also cooperating with the investigation.

The South Valley Crash Team-comprised of investigators from South Jordan, Herriman, and Riverton Police—is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. The intersection is expected to reopen shortly.

The City of South Jordan extends its deepest condolences to the family during this tragic time.
