Join us for a morning of springtime fun at South Jordan’s annual Spring Spectacular! This free event is packed with entertainment, from a professional basketball dunk team to a baby animal petting zoo, live music from Doctor Noize, and a thrilling candy scramble. However, one of the most meaningful aspects of this celebration is our Adaptive Area, which is designed to ensure that all community members can fully participate and enjoy the event.
Why an Adaptive Area Matters
South Jordan is committed to creating events where everyone feels welcome. The Adaptive Area is a dedicated space for individuals of all ages with special or adaptive needs and their siblings. Crowded spaces, loud noises, and fast-paced activities can be overwhelming for some, so this thoughtfully designed space provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience tailored to their needs.
What to Expect in the Adaptive Area
Located slightly away from the main event, the Adaptive Area offers:
- A quieter space with reduced sound
- A less crowded environment for a stress-free experience
- A wheelchair-friendly design with a wide concrete pathway
- Candy and prizes are placed on tables, bleachers, and grass for easy access
By providing this space, we ensure that children and adults with different abilities can celebrate Spring Spectacular with their families in a way that is enjoyable, comfortable, and fun.
We can’t wait to celebrate spring with you! Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9–11 AM at the South Jordan Softball Fields and enjoy a spectacular morning of fun for all.
